Velux Openable Skylights - VS and VSE Models Velux Opening Skylights are commonly know as top hung skylights or top hinged skylights. They are supplied as either manually operable, or electrically operable units. The Velux openable skylights are available in the following sizes

eg: a VS101 skylight is a 550x700mm Manually Opening Velux Skylight Manual Openable Skylights - VS Models The Most popular opening Velux Skylights are manually opening VS model skylight. It is manually operated and you have the choice of two different glazing options for most available sizes (both options are double glazed - see glazing in the information section of this site for more details). Depending on the position of where you will be installing the skylight, opening and closing is controlled by a either a handle or a rod. The Flyscreen and appropriate flashing kit for your roof is included. 
VS Model Openable Velux Skylight
Which models are supplied with the comfort glazing? The models available in the more economical 0075 Comfort style glazing are the: VS101 VS104 VS108 VS304 VS 308 model skylights. The Blinds that are available for the VS Model Skylights: - Blockout Blinds - Electric operation only
- Venetian Blinds - Both manual and electric operation
- Pleated Blinds - Manual operation only
Velux no longer supply roller blinds to suit the VS Model Skylights. Click here for more information on the Blinds. Notes when ordering: - A minimum roof pitch of 15º is required for all Velux Skylight flashings.
Custom flashings can be supplied by buybuildingsupplies.com.au for roofs that
have a pitch that is less than 15 degrees.
- For heights in excess of 3m below any skylight, Australian standards require the use of the 0074 High Performance Double Glazing type of glazing.
- The hand winder or Rod control required to operate the VS Model Skylights needs to be ordered separately and is not included in any pricing shown for the skylights.
You cannot get the VS306 VS601 or VS 606 model in the 0075 Comfort Glass option. Electric Openable Skylights - VSE Models The ultimate skylight experience. VSE Model Openable Velux Skylight

In addition to the remote, the VSE comes with a pre-installed concealed motor, control system and two rain sensors and is pre-wired for blinds. Installation is simple because unlike other motorised skylights, the VSE installs using a single power cord complete with 240v plug that connects into any power outlet. The VSE also comes complete with a select wooden frame and sash, insect screen, and aluminium cladding.
