Velux Sun Tunnels

New to velux is the flexible shaft Sun Tunnel skylight that is designed for concrete or terracotta tile roofs and retains the same look as all other Velux Skylights from the outside. The flexible shat Sun Tunnel can be installed quickly around most attic & roof obstructions, making it the easiest tubular product to install in the industry. It has mirror finish stainless steel rings are just below the dome and just below the ceiling ring to reflect light from all angles. The Rigid shaft Sun Tunnel has 98% reflectivity to give the highest amount of light in to the room that is possible.

Dome
The low flat profile of the Velux Sun Tunnel skylight dome design parallels the roof slope for an attractive appearance.

Dual Diffuser
The Velux Sun Tunnel skylight features a flat glass top and double pane diffuser that eliminates the unsightly situation of shadowing caused by dead bugs gathering on the inside of the diffuser, plus reduces the chance of condensation, while providing even light distribution without hot spots.

An integrated flashing system ensures that the Velux Sun Tunnel skylight remains weathertight:

Easy Installation
Installation of the Velux Sun Tunnel skylight is quick, easy and can be completed in just two hours with only basic carpentry skills required. This means minimal time is needed in the attic.

Warranty
The Velux Sun Tunnel skylight comes with a ten year warranty against manufacturer's defect, rust corrosion and deterioration.

Installation Slope
The Velux Sun Tunnel skylight installs on roofs with slopes between 15 degrees and 60 degrees.

Ceiling Ring
The Velux Sun Tunnel skylight comes with a flush mount white ceiling ring.

Highly Reflective Shaft
The Velux Sun Tunnel skylight comes with either 2.3m of flexible light shaft, 900mm Highly Reflective Rigid Shaft or 1.8m of highly reflective Solid Shaft - the two latter options providing the maximum in light reflection being highly polished aluminium

Velux Sun Tunnel - Flexible Shaft - model TWF104 
The Velux Sun is supplied with a 2.3m flexible shaft, able to be used where you need to get around structural roof members in your ceiling cavity.

Velux Sun Tunnel - Rigid Shaft - model TWR104 
The Velux Sun is supplied with a 1.95 rigid tubular shaft, extension for this are available in 900mm increments (product code ZTR014) - the rigid shaft Sun Tunnel offers up to 3 times the light in to a room than the flexible shaft model.

Please note: Light transmittance of Velux Sun Tunnels depends on paramterers such as sky conditions (cloudy/sunny), the direction of sunlight, orientation and length of the Sun Tunnel shaft. Velux Sun Tunnels in this chart have been tested with a 1m shaft, on a 15 degree pitched roof in summer, at noon on a sunny day using a photometer. (TWR rigid Sun Tunnel emits 440 lumens when measured on a cloudy winter day).
